Keynote Presentation:
Abstract:
Keynote: Physical & IT Security Convergence: An Important Trend
That Will Likely Have a Lasting Impact on Your Career
Important changes are taking hold in the physical and IT security
markets. Security Information Management (SIM) is something you are
already familiar with. Now, PSIM (Physical Security Information
Management) has emerged as SIM’s physical security counterpart.
Forward-thinking security professionals from both sides of the
organization are already plotting convergence strategies: how does one
combine SIM and PSIM to quickly provide more useful intelligence to the
security professionals who are charged with responding to and resolving
complex security situations while minimizing the overall risk to their
company.
Attendees will learn:
· How physical
and IT security silos are converging
· A new model
for managing situations; not alarms and components
· How technology
can help security systems become risk management systems
· How to take
event and incident management to the next level
· Real-world
examples of how enterprises are deploying PSIM technologies for more
effective and safer response
